Sam Hewitt works in oils and is preoccupied by people and their shadows.
His paintings are in public and private collections around the world including three in the Hiscox collection.
“What a wonderful thing painting is: personal notation of a series of conscious and unconscious choices, up on the wall for all to see."
He was taught life drawing aged 13 by the elderly Sam Rabin, a former goldsmiths drawing tutor.
