Italian visual artist collected worldwide, creating archetypal liminal paintings and photographic works that transcend cultural borders.
Gianfranco Amodeo is an Italian visual artist based in Salerno, collected internationally. His work emerges...
Although largely self-taught, Gianfranco Amodeo’s artistic development is grounded in rigorous philosophical and symbolic research. Drawing on Jungian psychology, myth, and anthropology, he has developed a unique visual and theoretical path that fuses image, gesture, and archetype into a unified symbolic act.
Gianfranco Amodeo has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows across Italy and Europe. Highlights include:
2010 – Inauguration of the Magma Museum, Caserta
2013 – International Art Fair, Genoa (Queen Art Studio, Padua)
2014 – Second Art Biennial of Palermo
2016 & 2018 – International Arte Salerno
2017 – Berlin exhibition at Malzfabrik with Jelmoni Gallery
2018 – Interdisciplinary Visual Arts Exhibition, Giffoni, curated by Maurizio Barrés
He has shown his work in cities such as Rome, Paris, Lecce, Padua, Palermo, Berlin, and Salerno.
While highly productive, Amodeo has chosen in recent years to limit his participation in collective exhibitions. His selection reflects a deliberate desire to align the exhibition space with his spiritual and symbolic vision.
