Jonathan Price

Starting with a Doctorate in Fine Arts from Yale, I developed conceptual art and concrete poetry, showing in co-op galleries, The Jewish Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York. At Apple, when it was primarily a computer company, I created the style guide used by their technical communication teams; I designed, edited, and wrote content for regular users, and thanks to MacPaint, started taking my artistic practice into the digital realm.
I work in multiple applications on a Mac, exploring NASA photographs of the terrain that migrants go through coming to the United States, blended with topographic maps, vector analyses, and color studies. I explore mysterious landscapes, as when the Visitors arrive in Manhattan or New Mexico, strange alien shapes that enter into familiar cities or forests.
