Kristie Fujiyama Kosmides is a fourth generation Japanese American and is based out of Los Angeles, CA and Hilo, Hawaii. Kosmides' practice explores the intimate and ephemeral qualities of transcendent reality through beautifully atmospheric works that honor a sense of that which is greater than herself. Her work aims to touch the hearts of others and manages to make the personal universal through the eternal language of beauty.
Kosmides' work resides in numerous collections and has been exhibited nationally in galleries in California and Hawaii, as well as internationally in Japan. Commission work includes the Honolulu International Airport, Hawaiian Airlines, Kyobashi Kameda Center in Japan, Hawaii State Capitol, Wareham Development and UHC Urban Housing Development. She earned her BFA from Otis College of Art and Design, where she was also the recipient of the Otis College of Art and Design Thesis Award.
