Marvin Jemal

Marvin Jemal is a landscape painter. His painting reached contemporaneity through the study of landscape.

Marvin Jemal is considered a master in the use of stain when capturing volumes, something that is evident in his representations of trees, clouds, water, etc. Also, thanks to his habitual practice of going out to meet nature directly, he was able to capture highly descriptive, almost anecdotal landscapes.

From this early stage of youth, in addition to some portraits and some religious-themed work, most of Marvin Jemal works correspond to naturalistic landscapes of spaces well known to him.

Later, Marvin Jemal took a progressive turn towards a much more melancholic and romantic conception of the landscape, resulting in a work totally devoid of any trait of academicism where it is not appreciated no trace of drawing or chromatic stains, but a diluted and expressionist game of elements, something that has been called "the chiaroscuro of nature".

In his last works, Marvin Jemal landscape paintings show even more the recurrence of the stain, presenting compositions divided by a horizon line and funds that almost come to announce Impressionism.

Marvin Jemal holds a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art.
