Nathan Walsh

I feel that I am an artist with amazing range. Over the years I have mastered flexibility of style and technical control. Using my drawing and painting skills I have created diverse artwork. My paintings vary from breathtaking photo realisms to bold landscapes. I've been told that I have a flare for turning the mundane into something spectacular. I build up areas of color through the application of many thin layers of transparent oil paint to achieve vibrant color effects. When I find a particularly inviting subject or concept, I stay with it, working in series until some new concept attracts my attention.

Since a young age, my imagination has inspired me to create art that is aesthetic as well as meaningful to me and those around me. I have been an artist my entire life having studied art at the University of Minnesota and having won many scholarships and awards. Graphic design was my occupation for many years since graduation but, I have painted off and on before and during that time. Now I'm putting much of my energy into painting and I hope to make a career out of art.

I received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota with a double major in Design Communications and Fine Arts.
