Db Waterman

db Waterman is an internationally recognized mixed media artist whose powerful collages have won over collectors and curators around the world. With a unique combination of painting, photography, paper, and paint residues, she creates layered compositions that make the transience of time and the melancholy of human existence tangible.

Her work now has a strong international presence: exhibitions in New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin confirm her position within the contemporary art world. In New York, she was represented by the Muriel Guépin Gallery and the SeeMe Gallery, among others, where her works impressed with their poetic rawness and narrative power.

Within a few years, db Waterman has built up a worldwide circle of collectors, with artworks now found in private collections in more than fifteen countries. Her oeuvre is regularly selected for international art fairs and exhibitions, where her characteristic style—weathered layers, urban influences, and a deeply human narrative—immediately distinguishes her from her contemporaries.

My formative years as an artist were spent studying at the Art Academy in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Today, I regard myself as self-taught, having developed my own distinct style out of the untraditional medium of collage. My work unites a variety of materials in careful compositions that I pride for their storytelling ability.
