Yon Yi Sohn

My work explores systematic and geometric abstract and colour arrangements, expressed in the medium of drawing, painting, embroidery, and printmaking. Originally from Seoul, I lived and worked in Hong Kong for many years in marketing communications before returning to my earlier interest in the visual arts.

I have a Certificate in Art and Design from Hong Kong University, a BFA from Massey University Wellington, and a MA Painting from the Royal College of Art in London. I also have a MA Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in the States, and a BA in English from Korea University in Seoul.
