Born in Northampton, Keith has lived in London for most of his life. He took up art seriously after leaving British Telecom where he worked as a manager in the International Department. As a fine artist his most notable influences have been Impressionism and Expressionism, although Keith's style is all his own. Keith studied at the University of East London Docklands campus where he obtained his BA (Hons) and MA in Fine Art. His paintings, mainly on canvas in oils or acrylics, and sometimes in water-based printing inks, are either figurative or else abstracted compositions depicting his own interpretation, or impression, of reality. Some paintings depict the female nude, effectively a celebration of the female form which he has attempted to render in compositionally interesting ways. Others are abstracted compositions based on things seen around him, often architectural in nature reflecting his city environment, colourful, personal impressions based on actual urban scenery or else imagined urban landscapes. Keith has exhibited in a number of group exhibitions in and around London including The Brick Lane Gallery, Guildhall Gallery, Coningsby Gallery, Morley Gallery, R K Burt Gallery, The Gallery in Mayfair, The Gallery in Cork Street, The Cotton Centre, Barbican Library, University of East London, Parfitt Gallery Croydon, Citizens Gallery Woolwich, Start Woolwich Centre, The Millers House Bromley-by-Bow, Fairkytes Art Centre Hornchurch, Wanstead House Hall and at the Deptford X Festival. He has also had solo exhibitions at the Visual Arts Centre Romford, The Becket Gallery Brentwood and the Queens Theatre Hornchurch.
