Isabel Chenoweth

I've been a New England-based professional portrait and fine art photographer for twenty-five years. My work explores the elements of landscapes through light, color, texture, form and shape, and pattern and lines. I'm intrigued by how subtle and varying combinations of these elements create a wide spectrum of moods, from tension, chaos, and entropy, to calm, control, and order.

Solo exhibits, 2007 and 2018, Women in Black, sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Foundation. This two-part series features 118 portraits of women judges of Connecticut. The portraits are on permanent exhibit at the Quinnipiac University Law School, North Haven, Connecticut.

Grand-prize winner, 2008, Close to Home, sponsored by Creative Arts Workshop, New Haven, Connecticut. This national, multi-media exhibit was juried by Jacqueline Serwer, resulting in a two-person exhibit at the gallery in 2009.
