Maciej Kulesza is a Poland-based artist who works in two parallel directions: abstract expression and monochrome landscape. Though visually distinct, both stem from the same place — a need to translate inner experience into form.
His abstract works are deeply influenced by synesthesia, which allows him to see sounds as shapes, colors, and spaces. He expresses the dialogue between the senses through painting and musical creativity. He draws from spirituality — working with themes like movement, transformation, fluidity, and the immaterial. The process itself becomes a reflection of those same ideas.
He also explores the raw energy of nature through black-and-white forest and field landscapes. These works are stripped of color to reveal form, contrast, and rhythm. They emerge through physical, instinctive gestures — direct and emotional. He follows the chaos of branches, the structure of trunks, the silence between lines. Nature here isn’t idyllic but honest — a space of presence, solitude, and quiet tension. For him, it’s both subject and source.
