Artist Statement
Art is the means I have found to feel alive. So that life has a meaning beyond producing and reproducing (of society and species).
I am simple in the themes, I am interested in the human being. In particular what we do not understand, what we cannot explain in words. Nor is it that art can explain it, but it is a more fun approach that holds the mystery.
I let myself be guided by intuition and I use techniques that allow the accident and that do not allow me to controlled at all. Because I believe that in this way I leave space for something to happen that does not come from logic, from reason. Then I watch and meditate the work, and in the final result nothing is fortuitous or for decoration.
I do not expect to solve the mystery of life neither the human condition. But the beauty that interests me is the one that gives off a smell of mystery, of darkness, that strikes my being and manages to disturb it. I am not interested in art that speaks of art and is directed to reasoning. I value sincerity at work and in life, sincerely and intuition is my guides.
