My art explores the dichotomies of youth and age, past and present. memory; always unsure and reinterpreted, is presented to the viewer for their own meaning and connection. My goal: to create works of art that evoke personal memories, thoughts, and most of all the feelings -- of your past, present and future -- that hold the most powerful human emotions; love and loneliness, joy and sorrow.

I enjoy playing with the juxtaposition of old and new... not just aesthetically (combining media and materials that are vintage, recycled, re-purposed, as well as new), but also as a representation of us as humans and the lives we lead. My work is about history, as well as this very moment. It's about memories of what was, and hopes for what can be. Sometimes my work is filled with a feeling of melancholy and introspection. Sometimes it's whimsical and light. And other times it's sexual, spiritual, or even political.

No matter what a certain piece may offer visually, I believe that all art, whomever its maker, is (at least in some small way) a self-portrait of its author. A representation of how that artist sees and reinterprets the world around them. My work is no different.

My goal is to make art that makes people smile, think, react...
