Li Ma

Ma Li is a contemporary Chinese painter. She has held over 10 solo art exhibitions and 20+ group exhibitions worldwide. Her works are collected by museums and private collectors in Japan, the US, Australia and China. As a nationally influential poet and essayist, she has a unique way of conveying poetic imagery with her abstract paintings. Ma Li is a recipient of the “Abstract Beijing” New Contemporary Art Award, and an award-winner of the “Beijing Summer Exhibition”. She is a mentor at the College of Art of Sun Yat-sen University, a committee member of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy, and an eminent member of the Association of Chinese Contemporary Female Artists. While a resident artist in Songzhuang Art Colony in Beijing, she spends most of her wintertime painting in Sunnyvale, California.
