"Flower Power" series, (nº 14) Painting

The inspiration for the "Flower Power" series came from my garden, like Monet. In my head I had the memory of the paintings produced by Henry Matisse, Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Henry Fantin-Latour and Pablo Picasso. Acrylic on paper allowed me to draw and paint. I make two different works on the same subject. Then I cut each one in to vertical stripes. They become fragmented. Then alternately I add a strip after the other and glue them together. The result is two new twin art works. Sometimes they are "identical". Sometimes they are just very similar.They work as a kind of diptych. With these Paintings/Drawings, I hope to provide the viewer with an intriguing, dazzling and sublime experience, resulting in a fresh view of the world.
