Art Description

Drawing: Ink on Paper.

This is an abundantly interesting creature. Both physically and aesthetically. Chameleons are one of the most identifiable creatures by shape and by colour, I remove the colour and place the attention on the shape of the organism.
I hope this piece will bring joy upon first viewing, and as with all of my pieces, the more time you spend with it, the more interesting the intricacies of the body will become. I want to remind people of the beauty of the natural world by bringing exotic things to their eyes. A way to examine a familiar thing, but through a new lens. I used ink because I needed a high and consistent contrast between the subject and the negative space. Additionally, Ink implements allow for extreme and controlled detailing.
