Created on Saturna Island, the forces and moods of nature inspire my imagination. While painting several works in this highly textured, colorful and dynamic series, I was reminded of the Genesis narrative: in the beginning the "waters above were separated from the waters below". This work, along with several others like it, form part of a series in progress entitled Nature Envisioned.
