Viktor Dzhun (March 22, 1951 — July 19, 2016) was a Ukrainian artist and a prominent representative of abstractionism, born in the Poltava region of Ukraine. From an early age, he was deeply passionate about visual art, dedicating much of his life to creative exploration and experimentation. Throughout his artistic journey, Viktor remained in constant search of new forms of expression, aiming to communicate emotions and states of being that transcend language. His works reflect a profound inner world, shaped by intuition, memory, and a deeply personal connection to color, texture, and form. I create paintings that blend symbolism, surrealism, and expression. Through abstract forms, bold textures, and hidden imagery, I aim to express deep inner states — memory, time, and emotions that go beyond words. "I create paintings that blend symbolism, surrealism, and expression. Through abstract forms, bold textures, and hidden imagery, I aim to express deep inner states — memory, time, and emotions that go beyond words. My work is a dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious. It reflects fragments of dreams, echoes of the past, childhood impressions, and philosophical reflections. I use both mixed media and traditional oil painting techniques to find a balance between material and emotion. I am inspired by life itself — its unpredictability, contrasts, depth, and the quiet beauty in small details. For me, art is a way to understand both the self and the world. I don't offer clear answers — only an invitation to reflect".
