International Biennal Artist Magie Traynor started her carreer in Glasgow ,Scotland as an illustrator for Advertising agences including the renowned Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather .Around this time she continued studying art partime at the distinquished Glasgow School of Art and later at Central St Martins Collage of Art and Design,London. She left London in 1993 to travel throughout South East Asia bringing her to settle in Singapore.She has exhibited in Glasgow,London,Berlin and Singapore but mainly sells her work to private collectors and corporate institutions.Her corporate clients have primarly been in the hotel sector,having been commissioned to paint and create designs for hotel lobby's such as the Sheraton ,the Shangri La and the Hilton groups in South East Asia. Her other corporate clients include the BBC(British Broadcasting Authority},STV (Scottish Television],Meredes Benz,and Oracle to name a few. Alongside theis Magie has for many years been an Art Educator in Singapore running her own art workshops teaching both creative art and the skills of drawing and painting in collaboration with art galleries,museums, and art institutions including the Singapore Heritage Board. She has recently become an International Biennal Artist. Magie has experimented over the years with various mixed painting media as well as Sculpture and ceramics..Although she executes her work in an abstract expressionist fashion the content is usually surreal using a symbolic language for the spiritual messages she consciously and subconsciously wishes to reveal.Optical illusions and distorted imagery work hand in hand portraying hidden realism.
