Arsine evokes the fragility of aristocratic memory and the slow, deliberate aestheticization of oblivion. Rendered in a soft-focus, sepia-toned haze, this AI-generated figure recalls the mythos of silent film stars, pre-Raphaelite mourners, and vanished heiresses whose lives were more decorative t...

I am a French photographer whose work confronts the false hierarchies and illusions manufactured by the Art Industry. My lens reveals the fracture lines in the mythology of the “Fake Masters” — Hirst, Koons, Banksy, Sherman — exposing the performative, market-driven spectacles that masquerade as cultural progress. My practice engages with themes of trauma, anorexia, fractured self-identity, and the silent violence of familial and social systems that cultivate narcissism and privilege. My photographs resist easy consumption; they demand presence, pause, and confrontation. They are documents of survival and resilience, shaped by my own lived struggle with a cold, wealthy family. Yet beneath this conflict lies an enduring thread of hope: the possibility of beauty emerging from rupture, and of selfhood reconstructing itself from the shards of familial betrayal. Collection Narrative This collection is an archive of wounds and metamorphoses. It includes pieces that gesture towards the subversive, the defiant, and the fragile. They are neither decorative nor comforting; they instead summon the viewer to stand inside the liminal space between destruction and rebirth, between societal spectacle and personal truth. Here, you will find echoes of my lifetime in motion — a woman, awarded, recognized by academic institutions, yet fiercely independent of their easy categorization. This is not work for passive consumers or collectors who chase trends; it is work for those willing to interrogate themselves, to be complicit in the gaze, to recognize the hypocrisy in systems that celebrate spectacle over substance. In these frames, the hidden violence of power meets the intimate gesture of healing — a tension that defines both my art and my life. I am a multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on self-portraiture, nudity, and the exploration of trauma. Born in France, I studied art in High school and was awarded the Prix de Rome in 1990. This recognition marked the beginning of a career dedicated to exploring the human body as a vessel of memory and resistance. From 1982 to 2019, I produced a compelling body of work that confronts themes of intimacy, psychological fracture, and healing. In 2019,I was honored by Hong Kong Polytechnic University for my contribution to trauma-focused art practices. Between 1991 and 2005, I worked in the luxury industry — a move driven by personal and economic necessity.
