Born June 4th, 1953 I am a Canadian, Nova Scotian woman, living in very rural N.S. I have been a realist oil painter for many years specializing in portraiture and a variety of subject matter. I have had a major creative awakening as of late and a change in direction with my artwork. I am very involved with the creative process once again. I came to the realization over time that I had lost touch with this process over the years. This change in direction is very exciting and freeing to me as a person and an artist.I attended the Nova Scotia College Of Art & Design, in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada for approximately 4.5 years over a period of ten years from 1972 - 1981.I have been influenced by a number of artists of integrity and by a number of writers have been a very signifcant inspiration to me creatively. Presently I am 4th year mature student finishing my BFA at Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. I am focusing on view camera large format photography and painting using egg tempera as my medium.
