My relief sculptures incorporate reflective surfaces, kinetic lines, geometry and varying perspectives to explore optical perception and the illusion of movement within a static piece.
I combine precision cutting techniques, colour, and light-refracting materials to expand the visual impact of my work and create unexpected dimensions that stimulate and delight the viewer.
Aged just eleven, I was chosen to study art at Grimsby Technical College. The lessons included life class, sculpture and an eclectic mix of other techniques that gave me an appreciation and passion for all art.
Following a family move to Lincolnshire, I attended Boston Grammar School and became involved in local art-based projects and exhibitions.
In 2012, I was short-listed as one of the top ten UK artists in the British Airways ''Great Britons'' Olympic art competition and presented my work at the Royal Academy of Art in front of a prestigious judging panel that included; Eliza Bonham Carter, curator & head of Royal Academy Schools, Keith Williams, CEO of British Airways and confessional artist Tracey Emin.
