Lisa Barber is an award-winning food and portrait photographer with over 18 years of experience capturing the people, places, and stories behind exceptional food. In 2015, she was named a category winner in the prestigious Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards.

Lisa’s career includes a seven-year collaboration with chef Skye Gyngell at Petersham Nurseries, producing food features for the Independent on Sunday Review. Her cookbook photography credits include Gordon Ramsay's Healthy, the two-Michelin-star chef David Everitt-Matthias’ acclaimed titles Essence, Dessert, and Beyond Essence—the latter earning her three Gourmand World Cookbook Awards—and Brighton institution Terre à Terre’s cookbook. She also contributed to the Divine Chocolate cookbook, celebrating fair trade and ethical food production.

In addition to her commercial work, Lisa explores alternative photographic processes through a personal series of flower photograms—camera-less images created by placing botanical specimens directly onto light-sensitive paper. This quiet, experimental practice reflects her deep-rooted connection to nature and her interest in the intersection of food, flora, and form.
