Félix Juan Bordes Caballero was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, in 1939. Architect, painter and engraver. His work, principally characterized by a strong surreal tendency with autonomous identities of intense colors, has evolved towards more simplistic and abstract forms, although his recent work also maintains a visual structure similar to his first stages.
From 1957 until today, he has displayed his work at multiple exhibitions in the Canary Islands and in other Spanish and foreign cities, including individual exhibitions for his large size plastic artwork, as well as for his graphic artwork. He has also participated in numerous collective exhibitions together with other Canarian painters.
His most recent individual exhibitions, which were presented during the year 2010, took place at the CICCA (Center of Initiatives of the Caja de Canarias) on the island of Gran Canaria with the title: " Myths of the Origins: African Essences", and in the Gallery Magda Lázaro on the island of Tenerife with the title: "Extraordinary Events: Evanescent Situations"."¨
