Jerome Astruc

Jérôme Astruc is a born and bred Parisian
Eversince he was a teenager, Jerome has been painting various subjects all of them different in style and inspiration : dilated forms, fluid nudes, virtual spaces...
A graduate from Paris Dauphine University, Jerome kept his painting as a hobby while pursuing a 20 years – long career in Information Technologies until 2002 when he left Paris for Toulouse.
Jérôme then decided to enroll himself at Toulouse’s School of Fine Arts and dedicate himself to his first calling in life, painting.

Fuled by his life experience and some newly acquired techniques, his painting evolved towards a dreamlike universe where all shapes vanish and the world’s evermoving essence appears.
Jerome’s current artistic quest could be summed up by the following paradigm : capturing the waters’ movements rather than its reflection or seizing the energy of the air instead of the sky’s nuances.
