Lester Phipps

As a retired peace officer I have begun to find the joy in photography that was lost by making it my profession for 9 years as a photojournalist.

Night photography is my first love, which includes cityscapes, fireworks, and I especially enjoy photographing people in all walks of life doing what they do every day.

I also have always been enamored with Black and White images. Could be from being raised on Black and White Television, but have always enjoyed the contrast of B/W. Too often, color can be a distraction from the intended subject, whereas with B/W, the subject is brought into dominance.
