My childhood days were spent growing up on a farm close to Pretoria. The joy of painting pictures is one of my earliest and fondest memories of life. Whilst attending college I took art lessons as an additional course. During my 36 years of teaching, art was one of the subjects I offered to my students, and thus I could live my passion through my everyday work. The yearning to paint was always there but it was only in the last few years that I had more time available to spend on my passion. A few years ago I decided to improve on my natural talent and underwent formal art training. The lessons served to further inspire me and now I spend the majority of my time painting. Some of my work has been sold privately, at group exhibitions and more personal exhibitions held at my house. My favourite medium is acrylic paint but I also enjoy working with oil and waterpaint. I love experimenting and using different ways to express my creativity. I give all the glory to God who gave me this talent. I love this time of my life and want to fully express my talent now that I have the time to do so! I am quite excited of what the future might hold. Life is a song and a challenge. My wish is that my art will make your life's journey better. I hope to touch a heart, to share a dream, a thought, a love or a special memory. These are the things that make life meaningful.
