There are moments that come unexpectedly and as an artist I try to recognize them and capture them or they will be forgotten and disappear. I try to convey the fleeting moments and emotions that make up a day and a life. I like to work in a range of styles, moving from abstract expressionism to realism to impressionism. This is how I keep my work fresh and relevant.
I have found that adding digital photography and printmaking to my portfolio as well as painting gives me the flexibility to capture that which is elusive.
