Born in Denmark and self taught. As a young man he always enjoyed creating items with his hands and he started working with lights [lamps]. When he immigrated to Australia in 1984 where he moved into design, mainly kitchen and furniture, and has won numerous awards. The love and passion of nature was very much influenced by his parents. Residing on the beautiful South Coast, his inspiration is derived from the local environment and natural beauty of wood. Most of his art pieces are from the local area, the abstract form of the wood emerges and is shaped with little intervention. His hope is to share his art and for people to see what inspired him to create these objects. He stands by this quote "Certain ideal beauties of nature exist only in the intellect".
