Mikoto Fuku is a painter who paints “pictures that are detached from the physical body.
Until now, I have painted pictures of parts that somehow, someway seemed human.
This has changed to a kind of exploration of the inner world, away from its outer frame.
My expression of the unseen, the emotion of feeling something, is based on curiosity and exploration.
Our moods change with the weather, our moods change with the slightest wording in conversation, and our moods change with our own actions.
Feelings change in many ways, and emotions are richly expressed in the mind.
The act of expressing again in a different form what has once been expressed in the mind may not be spectacular or fresh.
Nevertheless, the reason why I reconstruct the expression of my feelings is because I am seeking a “normal life.
It varies from person to person, but for me, “normal life” is rich and peaceful.
I hope you can feel that kind of richness and peace.
Once a year, he holds a solo exhibition at Ginza Gallery G2.
