Jiri Bures

My paintings are raw and direct interpretations of what I see around me. It makes me reach
beyond the boundaries of the ordinary. They express the passion and energy I feel for my subjects.
My whimsical grouping of characters and animals invite the viewer into imaginative worlds both strange and familiar. Whether a painting, work on paper, ceramics, or glass sculpture, each work consists of a series of visual responses, of acts committed, displaying a connection to my vocabulary, beliefs, and a connection to my understanding of dynamics and relationships in nature.
