Metallic Landscape is the result of a brainstorm I had. I thought it would be cool to use mostly metallic paint in a landscape. I am an artist. My brushes caress the canvas In wild abandon. Painting the pictures Of my soul. My only desire is to touch you, Without so much as a whisper. ...Your smile or tear Keeps me going On this creative journey... Following the muse. ConnieAnn LaPointe I believe that artists are born being creative. I've always been artistic. I had musical parents who encouraged my artistic side, which was what I needed to feel comfortable in my own skin. I started drawing when I was about 10 years old, found poetry when I was 15, and began painting in my 20s. I am self-taught. I paint what I feel and hope that someone will be touched or moved by it. My art is mostly abstract, and it is influenced by nature, animals, spirituality and love. I try to take the viewer to someplace pleasant and uplifting with my art, but, if the piece is sad and that isn't possible, I hope it makes you think and feel something. I try to see Art in everything surrounding me, even the things one might not normally see as beautiful. My goals are to uncover the beauty that lies beneath the surface of everyday life, and to always search my imagination for new forms of artistic self-expression to share. Other artists inspire me everyday. I love looking at others' art! We each have our own unique style, yet we are all part of one family. I am proud to be an artist. I live near Akron, OH with my cats.
