Hello, I’m Beyhan, born in Istanbul, Turkey. After graduating from Bahçeşehir University with a degree in Child Development, I worked as a teacher. However, my artistic journey began years ago in a friend’s wood workshop. Since childhood, I have lived in a world built on colors, paints, and the idea of recycling. Creativity and the act of reshaping things have always felt like a natural form of expression to me. It was in that workshop where I formed a deep connection with the texture of wood, which took my passion for art to an entirely new level. This experience led me to open my own studio and fully dedicate my life to art. Leaving teaching behind was not just a career change—it was a profound transformation that reshaped my life. Art Meeting the Craft of Wood For me, art is a journey where I create new stories by touching the soul of wood and establishing an internal dialogue with nature. Each piece of wood I work with becomes part of a larger narrative, turning my inner journey into a tangible work of art. Working with wood is not easy—it requires patience, care, and dedication in every detail. The creation of my artworks begins with selecting the wood, followed by meticulously cutting and shaping each piece, designing the artwork, painting the colors with precision, and carefully assembling the final composition. My pieces come to life after months of labor and attention. In every detail of my art, there is a hidden story where the essence of nature and human effort come together. These wooden pieces are not just artworks—they are living creations crafted with time, patience, and endless care. I also donate a tree with every piece sold, aiming to give back to nature what it has provided to me. My hope is that viewers of my artworks feel the deep journey where nature and human effort intertwine.
