Maurizio Cintioli

I currently live and work in Rome. My research follows two parallel paths: “constructions” and “depictions”. The first one characterized by a strong abstractionism, based on the quest of fantastical spaces and shapes and the creation, starting with the photographical images, of repetitive patterns and sign confluences, taken to the limit of the absurd. The second one characterized by the precise observation of men, immersed in their “free time”, in squares, pools and meeting spots, or even isolated, lost in the absolute white.
