Innocent Twagirumukiza

Passionate about sculpture and painting, I developed my own technique in a self-taught way. I started to exhibit my works to the public during my law studies at the Panthéon Sorbonne University, where I discovered the pleasure of sharing my artistic vision.

In 2004, after obtaining my law degree, I deepened my knowledge of sculpture at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London. Back in France, I continued to train at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de the city of Paris in 2015, while continuing my artistic creation.

I sculpt with different mediums: wood, clay, stone, paper. I let the final shape of the work reveal itself through the sculpting process. I compose my works with several objects, sometimes sculpted at different times. I assemble them harmoniously to express an idea, a feeling, a movement or a sound.
