Sheeja Mohan

Based out of Portland, United state I am largely self-taught artist.Though I did my Masters in Statistics, I always had love for art and paintings. During my collage days I explored painting on glass surfaces and it’s been a amazing journey with colours, the joy to discover paint in the years since graduation.

I am completely captivated by abstract art and the boundless territory it allows me create. I love to use my brush and paints to create abstract beauty on textured surfaces.
From the silky texture of the paint to the rough texture of stone, I use texture to add expression, and add depth to my paintings. I create different textures in my art by mixing sand, stones,saw dust, straw, and more. I enjoy experimenting with different materials to create new and fresh textures for my painting to enhance the feel and contribute to the mood.

Over the past several years , I have participated in several exhibitions and sold 100 plus paintings.
