Maryann Riker

I am a mixed-media artist whose collages and artist's books convey a visual narrative about time and memory. Using Victorian clip art, vintage maps, wallpaper and fabric my work may entail political, feminist or humor to involve the viewer in the narrative and to bring their own perspective to the work through their viewing and own life experiences. Recent works have covered genetic engineering, propaganda and historical moments that were pivotal in changing history.
