Flowers

I often hear this about my FLOWERS series of works, “Inspired by Andy Warhol”, this is both true and not true. Many great artists have created their own versions of this eternal subject, from the Dutch still-life paintings of the 17th century and the artists of the Renaissance era. I’m delighted both with Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, and Alex Katz’s floral panel paintings and Tom Wesselman's aluminum bouquets. I was able to create that series when I felt something “of my own”, and it seems to me it was a success. The series has been embodied in complicated 3D panel paintings made from wood and plastic and painted with acryl, glass prints with the use of two-sided printing technology and 3D effect, and two paper versions of the prints.
