About The Artwork

One of the few instances of a finished artwork created during vacation. This particular drawing came into existence in the Museum of Art in Frakfurt and combines the following: - Diego Velázquez "Retrato del Cardenal Gaspar de Borja y Velasco" 1643-1645 - Karl Schmidt-Rottluff "Mädchen aus dem Fenster blickend" 1924 - Gerhard Richter "Großer Vorhang" 1967 - Johann Wilhelm Schirmer "Landschaft in den Sabiner Bergen" ~1835 into a unified, classic portrait composition enriched with a strong contrast between monochromatic distant past and colorful modernity.

facebook.com/subskryba „Very sour painting, it rubs the palate and weirdly sates the eyes – I think it’s due to the peculiar colors.” ~ A.G. Such a comment which treats only about such a trivial themed depiction as a local cliff. How so? I simply think that painting amounts to a feast for the eyesight which in order to get satisfied needs colors and forms. D i s t i n c t ones. And proportional. Not mud’n’mess.
