The fourth piece of my Future Skylines series depicts an apocalyptic city bristling with satellite dishes. The steel skeletons of the buildings are jagged and dangerous and the light in the back is deep red with warning invoking images of a fire or dust storm in the desert. This piece itself is a warning about the dangers of artificial intelligence and facial recognition. The power of the state and corporations to invade every aspect of our lives. The residents of this future city live in glass domes on display to the world. A huge inspiration to the aesthetics of this work was the huge machinery used in the mining industry in the Australian outback.

Artist from Yorkshire UK with a love for travelling and animals and the natural world. I am a cynic and thoroughly disillusioned with the world we live in but find joy in nature and creativity. I consider myself a left wing humanist and I am interested in art as a means of protest particularly against capitalism and the destruction of our planet. I am very inspired by my time in Australia and New Zealand and like to show respect to other cultures in my work. My style is varied. I love abstract works and like to experiment with texture but animals also feature heavily in my work.
