Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt studied art at the private fine arts school in Belgrade, Serbia. During the period 1998-2005, she painted Byzantine Icons and had her work exhibited in Belgrade, Manhattan, (NYC, USA), Richmond (VA, USA), Salzburg (Austria).
