ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The shape of the tower in the painting was inspired by a hill I saw driving through Texas. As I recreated the shape of the hill in the studio with wood and other found objects the title of the painting came to me. I used the structure I built in the studio as a model for the painting. This painting is the companion of a painting of the same size whose title is "What the Men Built"
