ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Limited Edition of 10 Giclée Prints on 20x24 inch heavy watercolor 310g paper with a subtle texture. This acid-free paper is 100% cotton fiber and is finished with a water-based protective spray. Premium inks used produce images with smooth tones and rich colors. Includes 2 inch border for easy matting and framing. Limited editions are signed, numbered, dated, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Allow 2 weeks for delivery of this limited edition print. Allow 2 weeks for delivery of this limited edition print. Originally conceived of and created for one time use in a 1990 trade publication, this is one of eight images showing interior details of the Art Deco Chicago Board of Trade building and its 12th floor Annex. Carefully focused and shot on 4x5 BW film. Today's prints come from high resolution scans of the original negatives that were digitally processed and printed. This photographer is in awe, again, of the additional flexibility and fine-tuning that digital processing provides over a considerable level of skill after working years in a wet darkroom.

I was a street photographer responding to lines, color, people and places long before I realized what I was doing or how it influenced the direction my life would take. Grew up on the original black & white LIFE magazine, eager for its arrival every Thursday, instantly studying all the photos. That is where my concept of photography formed and where my desire grew to become a photographer. I worked in other industries yet nothing satisfied me as much or meant as much as taking - making - pictures. I have been a self-taught freelance photographer for almost 40 years. I create original photo art - fine art images - sold from my studio, my web site and through a few select online galleries. Commercially, I shoot environmental portraits, photograph events, and develop documentary projects for a variety of nonprofits, corporate clients, and government agencies. I work as a partner with clients, helping them to maximize the strategic power of pictures. My images are used for PR, communications, image building, income development, and marketing.
