About The Artwork

I feel most at peace listening to the flow of a river, the crashing of ocean waves, or the serene stillness of a quiet lake. There’s an inexplicable comfort in the presence of natural bodies of water; it feels like coming home. This abstract ceramic vase is inspired by the movement of water. This original artwork can be used as a stand-alone decorative piece or as a functional vase to hold fresh or dried flowers. Thrown on the wheel with stoneware clay. The organic form, texture and design is created by hand and then the piece is decorated with glaze. Fired at 1250°C.

Amelia explores the female form, delving into its essence and inherent power, as well as the complex connections between humans and nature—inviting viewers to contemplate the profound relationship we share with our environment.
