Hello! My name is Natasha Koti, and my path in art is a search for harmony between the soul and the line. While studying psychology and art therapy in Russia, I realized that visual art is not just paint on canvas, but the language of the soul. And I found mine. For me, the most sincere expression of feelings occurs in the process of capturing and accurately conveying a moment colored by emotions and experiences.
Now I create in Varna, soaking up the sun of the Black Sea and transferring its light onto paper. My main muses and models are the cats I meet on the streets. They don't pose, they live. To keep up with their swift grace, I began to draw them with a single continuous line, almost without looking at the paper. Only this method (drawing with a constant line) allows me to capture the very essence of movement, that unique “feline” gesture that creates character. In painting (gouache, watercolor), I give freedom to color, inspired by the mature Matisse. Here, cats appear in bright, unreal color combinations, so the lines can remain simple and concise.
