I love the texture of water colors and oils. It’s worth the sleep deprivation. My good dreams are about brush strokes and paint drips and the smell of pencil shavings. I long for it. I waited so many years for a good time to paint until one day last summer I realized now is all we might have. I am coping by contrasting the composition of my focus to include and highlight the beautiful little bright spots around us. The opposite of a trigger is a glimmer; it’s when something catches your eye like the light sparkling through your glass or the way a shadow works, or the smile on someone’s face. Several private collectors across the USA already enjoy my paintings, prints, and fiber arts. I am sharing my explorations with the public by building a community of artists on social media and in my hometown of San Diego, California. I love emboldening new artists. I believe art is good for you, and that making art is the best way to appreciate our lives. There is no bad art. I love color and texture and want to share this feeling with as many folks as I can, while I can. Painting these beautiful little moments to share with you is how I want to spend our time here.
