Bagnet Vel Szabla

Robert Szablavel Bagnet born in 1968, since 2003 I have been living in Brussels.
I started my artistic activity with drawing and painting, mainly pastels, to finally devote myself completely to printmaking. I am self-taught, but I also attended workshops at the École des Arts d'Ixelles in Brussels.
All my works are created spontaneously and are the result of my sense of aesthetics, sometimes humor, imagination, as well as technical limitations. I am inspired by music, literature, art and simply life. Since the pandemic, I have significantly reduced the figurative representation of my world, focusing more often on abstract compositions.
