Agnieszka Polvela

I'm Finnish Polish visual artist and graphic designer. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2011. Immediately after graduation I moved to Finland, and for the first few years I lived in Lapland. The nature and sensitivity of the North have always fascinated me.

My works are typically series of pieces of art. My works are expressive landscapes that flee between the figurative and the abstract. They include stagnation and movement, mysterious shadows and light.

As a visual artist, I am inspired and interested in, for example. Works and life stories by Alberto Giacomett, Cecily Brown, Francis Bacon, Vincent van Gogh.

I would like to get the viewer to reflect on the sensitivity and feelings of human life. The work can be both liberating and therapeutic for both the author and the viewer. What is important to me is the feeling that painting brings to a person. I hope it passes on to the viewer as well.
