Alain Elbaz

Alain ELBAZ (1941) From a very early age, I was drawn to drawing and painting; easel in hand, I scoured landscapes in bright colors in search of luminosity. Oil painting gave me my first taste of figurative art in the 50s. Watercolors, gouaches, and ink in the surrealism of the 70s. Acrylics, which enable me to vary relief and flat tints, have become my preferred medium for very colorful works.

First professional activity / draftsman : 1958
Self-taught, my training was located in a sunny nature whose colors replenished on the canvas. This experiment was as much as a great school. My education was driven by surrealism ; the pure creation is a self course in opening doors to ART.
