Adrian Astorga

Adrian Astorga, born in Mérida, Venezuela in 1976, is a Venezuelan-Spanish artist based in Barcelona, ​​Spain. He studied Graphic Design at the School of Art, Universidad de los Andes, Mérida, Venezuela.

His painting has the ability to arouse emotions through vivid combinations of color in an abundant world of expressive forms. He creates a deep and poetic universe that tries to establish new codes and take our hearts to unexpected horizons.

The instrumental dimension is hybrid, producing mixed media painting with different techniques: "l like layers with spatter, blur, drag, gesture, I use rags, brush, spray, fluid paint, paint with finger, sponges to get enriched texture."

"My process is to address questions and concerns about the natural landscape, the exterior landscape, the interior landscape, emotions, thoughts, about society and other meditations, from a continuous work with the difficulties in the relations of color, form, rhythm and tension."
